GDP of the world's countries 2019
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has published new data on the GDP of the countries of the world in 2019. The United States retains the world's largest gross domestic product of $ 21,482 billion. This is significantly more than other countries.

In general, the United States economy is significantly ahead of other states in terms of absolute GDP. Compared with last year, the US gross domestic product grew by $ 1.07 billion. The gap from China remains at $ 7310 billion.

Russia in 2019 fell by one position (12th place), losing to South Korea. According to the IMF, Russia's GDP decreased by $ 70 billion.

Recall that gross domestic product (Gross Domestic Product) - GDP (GDP) is a macroeconomic indicator that reflects the market value of all final goods and services (that is, intended for direct consumption) produced per year in all sectors of the economy for consumption, export and accumulation, regardless of the nationality of the factors of production used. This concept was first proposed in 1934 by Simon Kuznets.

The calculation of the GDP indicator does not include financial transactions, securities transactions, sales in the secondary market (used cars, apartments, houses, clothes, etc.). Financial transactions do not create real value, and the sale of previously used items has already been taken into account earlier in the calculation of previous GDP indicators.

Gross domestic product is used to characterize production results, the level of economic development, and economic growth rates.

The formula for calculating GDP is as follows:

GDP = W + Q + R + P + T

Where: W - salary paid by business entities, regardless of the presence (absence) of citizenship Q - deductions for social insurance and other obligatory payments R - gross profit of business entities P - gross mixed income T - taxes on production and import (from government subsidies, if any, are deductible).
